
Notice of Zhejiang University on the 2026 Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship
According to the relevant notices from the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the scholarship management work arrangements of our university, the 2026 Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship is now officially launched. The annual review is a comprehensive evaluation of Chinese Government Scholarship students, covering aspects such as moral conduct, academic performance, study/research attitude, and participation in activities.
I. Participants
- All students whose scholarship remains within the normal period of validity after September 2026;
- Doctoral students whose original scholarship term ends in July 2026 or January 2027 but who are unable to graduate as scheduled and meet the conditions for applying for an extension of the scholarship funding period;
- Students whose scholarship eligibility was suspended due to failing the 2025 scholarship review and who intend to apply for the restoration of their scholarship.
II. Annual Scholarship Review Process
- Student Self-assessment Phase (April 3, 2026 – April 25, 2026): Participating students should log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System for International Students (studyinchina.csc.edu.cn, hereinafter referred to as the “Information System”) using their CSC number. Enter the “Scholarship Annual Self-assessment” module, fill out the “Chinese Government Scholarship School Evaluation Questionnaire,” complete the self-assessment information, upload additional materials, and click “Submit.” For specific operational steps, please refer to the attachment “Student Operation Guide” (click the “Read Original” button at the end of the text to download).
- Academic Review Phase (April 10, 2026 – April 28, 2026): For graduate students, the academic review will be conducted by supervisors (or supervisor contacts) who should log in to the International Student Management System (https://intlstudent.zju.edu.cn), click on “Scholarship Management,” enter the “CSC Scholarship Review” module, grade their students, and fill in the evaluator’s comments. For undergraduate students, the academic review will be a comprehensive evaluation conducted by international student counselors based on transcripts provided by the teaching management department and the students’ daily performance.
- University Review Phase (April 28, 2026 – May 10, 2026): The International College will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the participating students based on their self-assessment, academic and on-campus performance, and the opinions of their respective colleges (departments) and supervisors, and provide feedback on the review.
III. Important Reminders
- Review results are divided into “Qualified” and “Unqualified.” The total score of the review is 100 points, and those with a total score of 60 or above are considered Qualified. For those who are qualified, the Chinese Government Scholarship will continue to be provided for the following academic year; for those who are unqualified, the eligibility for the Chinese Government Scholarship will be suspended or canceled.
- For those whose eligibility for the Chinese Government Scholarship is suspended, the scholarship will be stopped from the beginning of the next academic year. However, the individual may apply to continue their studies at the university at their own expense in accordance with relevant university regulations. Those who continue their studies after suspension may apply to participate in the annual review of that year before the suspension period expires. If they pass the review and receive approval from the China Scholarship Council, their scholarship can be restored starting from the next academic year.
- For those whose eligibility for the Chinese Government Scholarship is canceled, the scholarship will be stopped from the date of the announcement, and the eligibility for the Chinese Government Scholarship will not be restored.
