Founded in 1905, Fudan University is a comprehensive research university with a world-class reputation for running schools, ranking 30th in the QS World University Rankings in 2026. 1. Application qualifications
1. Basic requirements:
(1) Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign passports.
(2) High school graduation or above, with university application qualifications.
(3) Be physically and mentally healthy, and have no criminal records.
2. Nationality requirements:
According to the Nationality Law of the People's Republic of China and the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education of China Jiao Wai Han [2020] No. 12:
(1) Applicants who were born in a country other than China and had foreign nationality at birth. The applicant's parents (Chinese citizens) must have obtained permanent residency in a foreign country before the applicant's birth, and the applicant must have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (a year is based on a cycle from May 1 to April 30 of the following year, and the actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to the entry and exit signature).
(2) Applicants who were originally Chinese citizens and later became foreign nationals. The applicant must have acquired foreign nationality before May 1, 2022, completed the procedures for renunciation of Chinese nationality, and had a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (a year is from May 1 to April 30 of the following year, and the actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

4. Application for admission process and methods
Step 1: Take the "Academic Proficiency Test for Undergraduate Admission to Study in China".
Students are required to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA Test) organized by the China Scholarship Council of the Ministry of Education of China and obtain test scores. Students can visit the CSCA official website (www.csca.cn) to check the specific test times and content.
Note: For the first phase of application, our school accepts the test results in December 2025; For the second phase of applications, our school accepts test results in December 2025 and January 2026. For test subjects, please refer to the "2026 Fudan University Foreign Students Undergraduate Chinese-Taught Major CSCA Test Subjects".
Step 2: Fill out and submit the online application
Students must first register for the application system, log in, select "Individual Application →Undergraduate → Chinese Teaching Program", select 1 major volunteer, fill in the application and upload the application materials (please refer to Part 5 of this brochure for application material requirements). Once done, be sure to click the "Submit" button.
Step 3: Pay the entry fee online
The registration fee is 800 RMB, which will not be refunded once paid, and the application will be invalid if the application fee is not paid.
Step 4: Attend the interview
After the school's review, students who meet the requirements will enter the interview, which will focus on the students' comprehensive quality and Chinese proficiency.
Step 5: Check the pre-admission results and pay the tuition fee
Students can check the pre-admission results of the first and second application stages in the application system from February 15 and April 10, 2026 respectively. Students who have obtained the pre-admission qualification must pay the tuition fee for the first academic year through WeChat, Alipay, and foreign cards (Visa, Master, JCB) within two weeks from the date of release of the pre-admission results, and confirm their enrollment in the school. The specific payment notice will be sent by email after the pre-admission results are released.
Step 6: Download the Acceptance Letter
From June 1, 2026, admitted students can download the electronic version of the official admission letter through the application system.
5. Application material requirements
1. Personal valid ordinary passport information page. Passports must be valid until 1 March 2027 or later.
2. High school diploma. Fresh graduates submit the original expected graduation certificate issued by their school. Notarized translations must be provided for versions other than Chinese and English.
3. Transcripts of all courses in high school. Notarized translations must be provided for versions other than Chinese and English.
4. Original transcript of the "Undergraduate Admission Academic Proficiency Test for Studying in China" (CSCA test) of the Ministry of Education of China.
5. Proof of Chinese language proficiency. HSK5 level 210 points (inclusive) or above or HSK6 level 180 points (inclusive) or above certificate (if any).
6. "Guardian Guarantee". Applicants under the age of 18 by September 1, 2026 must submit this document. The guardian shall be an adult living in Chinese mainland with financial resources.
7. Nationality certification materials.
(1) Applicants born in a country other than China and having foreign nationality at birth must submit:
1) Proof that the applicant acquired foreign nationality at birth;
2) Before the applicant was born, the parents (Chinese citizens) have obtained the certificate of permanent residence in a foreign country;
3) All visas, residence permits, entry-exit records, etc. of the applicant from the first passport onwards;
(2) Applicants who were originally Chinese citizens and later became foreign nationals must submit:
1) Certificate of Withdrawal from the People's Republic of China;
2) Certificate of cancellation of Chinese household registration;
3) Proof of foreign nationality;
4) All visas, residence permits, entry-exit records, etc. of the applicant from the first foreign passport to and from the applicant's first foreign passport;
Note: Applicants who have held a Travel Permit of the People's Republic of China or an Entry-Exit Permit of the People's Republic of China must refer to Clause (2) to provide the corresponding documents.
8. Certificate of no criminal record.
9. Personal financial ability certificate or financial guarantee certificate. If someone else provides financial guarantee, please fill in the "Financial Guarantee Letter for International Students of Fudan University" and submit the corresponding materials.
10. Other documents. Award certificates, published papers and other documents that can prove learning ability and comprehensive quality.

6. Tuition fee standard (RMB) 23,000 yuan to 42,000 yuan/academic year
For the corresponding tuition fees for each major, please refer to the "2026 Fudan University Tuition Standards for Chinese-Taught Majors for Undergraduate Students of Fudan University", and the specific fee standards are subject to the notice at the time of admission.

8. Enrollment time
The admission time is at the end of August or early September 2026, and the specific "Fudan University Admission Notice" shall prevail.
9. Other precautions
1. Please ensure that the information filled in the application system is true and valid, and that the uploaded materials are complete. Once the application is submitted, supplementary materials will not be accepted. Please continue to pay attention to the review status of the application system and your personal email.
2. Once admitted, the passport information cannot be changed until the enrollment is completed.
3. Students must go through the admission and registration procedures in strict accordance with the requirements of Fudan University. The school will verify the original passport, visa, and academic certificate of the student at the time of enrollment.
If you do not meet the relevant material review requirements at the time of registration, you will be disqualified.
4. Students cannot change their nationality after being admitted.
5. Anyone who commits fraud or favoritism will be disqualified from applying, admitting or enrolling once verified. Students who have registered will be expelled from the school.
