This year's report systematically analyzed 30 leading CBDs across 19 countries worldwide.
The 30 evaluated CBDs collectively host 84 Fortune Global 500 company headquarters, accommodate over 7 million employees in total daily, contribute more than $4.5 trillion to the annual economic aggregate, and play a crucial role in global economic growth. The benchmark assessment system covers 8 categories: talent, market proximity, influence, external conditions, office space, consumption vitality, innovation, and sustainability, generating both individual category rankings and an overall ranking.
This year, Beijing CBD has jumped to 6th place globally, remaining the top in China. The area hosts 7 Fortune Global 500 company headquarters and 11 unicorn enterprises, with a complete industrial chain and a strong innovation atmosphere. In the dimensions of "consumption vitality" and "talent," Beijing CBD ranks among the top. The report shows that Beijing CBD has successfully built an integrated "work-life-leisure" ecosystem, with a high density of cultural facilities, catering and retail, commercial services, and public spaces. Beijing CBD has 11 startups with a valuation exceeding $1.13 billion, and it continuously receives skilled talent and innovative ideas from top universities.
Notably, it has set an example in sustainable development, with over 70% of its Grade A office buildings having obtained LEED Gold or higher green building certifications.
