With the theme of "Striving for a New Journey of Strengthening Education and Undertaking the New Mission of Studying in China", Vice President Gao Liang shared the mission and responsibility of Beijing Jiaotong University to promote the opening up of education and build a world education center, as well as the practical achievements of international education and study in China.
President Liu Limin issued certificates to more than 20 colleges and universities that passed the higher education quality certification and higher vocational education quality certification for international students in China in the first half of 2025. After ten years of development, the layout of quality certification for studying in China has been continuously optimized, the quality has been continuously improved, and the acceptance has been further strengthened.
He Pei, director of the Cross-border Education Quality Assurance Department of the Exchange Association, released the "2025 Version of the Higher Education Quality Certification Index System for International Students in China", which is the third comprehensive upgrade of the certification index system since 2015, and has been comprehensively optimized from evaluation standards to core dimensions.
Liang Zi, Deputy Director of the Cross-border Education Quality Assurance Department of the Exchange Association, and Zhang Hu, President Xu Zimin and Deputy Director of the International Student Center of the University of Science and Technology Beijing, jointly released the research results of the "Research Report on the Current Situation and Countermeasures of Studying in China and Education to Serve Chinese Enterprises to "Go Global" and the "Research Report on the Teaching of Universities in China in English".
The panel discussion was moderated by Wu Peng, Dean of the School of Overseas Education of Jiangsu University, and was conducted by President Juan Corchado, Vice President Wen Jun, Senior Advisor Paul Turner, and Director of the International Department of Massey University in New Zealand, Chris Carey, on the opportunities and challenges of international student mobility in the global macro context.
Up to now, more than 280 colleges and universities in 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country have participated in the quality certification of studying in China, and the certification project has become an important measure to improve the quality and efficiency of study abroad education in China, providing effective support for strengthening the brand and capacity building of "Study in China".
