Study in China

From October 25th to 26th, the 2025 "Perception of China" 2025 "Perception of China" 2nd Jiangsu Universities and the First Yangtze River Delta Universities in China Graduate Academic Exchange Special Event was successfully held in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. Hosted by the China Scholarship Council and co-organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, the Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Society of Higher Education and Jiangsu University, the event attracted outstanding graduate students from more than 50 universities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui to study in China to discuss academic frontiers and promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations.

With the theme of "Academic Exploration and Mutual Learning of Civilizations", the event set up expert keynote reports, academic poster displays, sub-disciplinary forums, and international young scholar dialogues. Experts and scholars from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Soochow University, Jiangsu University and other universities delivered keynote speeches on topics such as artificial intelligence and scientific research innovation, study abroad experience and career development, and academic integrity, demonstrating the achievements of innovation and development and cultural inclusion in the Yangtze River Delta, and also building a platform for Chinese and foreign youth exchanges.

Munazza Ijaz from Pakistan and Ali Matin Nazar from Iran from Zhejiang University were invited to attend the conference and give academic reports at the Polytechnic, Engineering and Agriculture Sub-forum. Among them, Munazza Ijaz won the "Second Prize" for his systematic and in-depth research in the field of nano agriculture; Ali Matin Nazar won the "Third Prize" for his academic paper for his innovative design in the field of energy materials, demonstrating the outstanding academic quality and international vision of Zhejiang University students. Zhejiang University was awarded the "Winning Award" for the event organization.

Munazza Ijaz reported on a study entitled "Immunomodulating melatonin-decorated silica nanoparticles suppress bacterial wilt in tomato", which provided new ideas for the research and development of green nanopesticides and demonstrated the potential of nanotechnology in the sustainable management of agricultural diseases. Ali Matin Nazar showcased his series of achievements in biomimetic energy devices. He designed a multi-mechanism nanogenerator based on a magnetic levitation hexagonal structure, and his results have been published in high-level journals such as Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessments.

In the academic poster display session, two students from our school had a rich and fruitful discussion with teachers and students from different universities and countries in the Yangtze River Delta region in front of the posters designed by themselves. The research of the two students attracted a lot of attention for their forward-looking and application potential, and they not only patiently answered questions, but also exchanged views on scientific research difficulties of common interest and the possibility of future cooperation.

At "Walking with China: A Dialogue with International Young Scholars", Munazza Ijaz spoke as a representative of outstanding students. She shared her research experience and growth during her doctoral studies at Zhejiang University, from the challenges and setbacks in the early stages of the experiment to the joy of making breakthroughs and publishing high-level papers under the careful guidance of her supervisor. She specifically mentioned that the world-class scientific research platform, inclusive and open academic atmosphere provided by Zhejiang University, and the strong support of the Chinese government for international students are the keys to her ability to devote herself to research and achieve results. Her narration was simple and sincere, which aroused strong resonance among the teachers and students in the audience.

The international students present said that Munazza's experience greatly inspired them and strengthened their determination to continue their studies and realize their academic dreams in the hot land of China. In this event, our international students had in-depth exchanges with Chinese and foreign teachers and students from the Yangtze River Delta region, and their outstanding performance vividly demonstrated the fruitful results of the school's international talent training. In the future, we will continue to provide a broader platform for outstanding international students to grow into messengers of global scientific and technological innovation and cross-cultural exchange.
