Zhejiang University is a comprehensive, research-oriented and innovative university with distinctive characteristics and great influence at home and abroad, covering 13 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art, and interdisciplinary.
Undergraduate majors are generally taught in Chinese, and some majors can be taught in English, with a duration of 4-6 years.

2. Application period
From December 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026 (hereinafter referred to as the deadline)
The deadline for some majors is May 31, 2026, please pay attention to the enrollment major catalog.
For those applying for scholarships, the application period is subject to the announcement period of various scholarship application methods.
Note: Applicants must submit their applications in the Zhejiang University International Student Application System (hereinafter referred to as the Application System) (link) before the deadline and pay the application fee. Applications that are not paid by the deadline will be invalid. The dates and times listed in the admissions brochure are Beijing time, and all deadlines include the same day.
3. Application fees and tuition fees
1. Application fee: RMB 800. No refunds will be given regardless of whether they are admitted or not.
2. Tuition Fees:
2.1 For tuition standards, please refer to the admissions catalogue, and the specific fee standards are subject to the admission notice.
2.2 In principle, tuition fees will not be refunded for self-financed international students.
3. Payment method: Applicants can pay the application fee and tuition fee online within the application system. If you are unable to make online payment, you will need to remit the fee to the designated bank account (link). For easy confirmation, please be sure to indicate the application number and name when remitting money, and upload a scanned copy of the remittance voucher to the application system.
4. Application qualifications
1. Nationality requirements:
1.1 Non-Chinese citizens holding foreign ordinary passports.
1.2 Comply with the provisions of the Ministry of Education's Foreign Letter [2020] No. 12 (link).
1.2.1 Residents of Chinese mainland (mainland), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who immigrate to foreign countries as international student applicants must obtain foreign nationality before April 30, 2022 and have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).
1.2.2 If the applicant acquires foreign nationality at the time of birth in a foreign country, and both parents are Chinese citizens at the time of birth, or one of the parents is a Chinese citizen, the applicant's parents (Chinese citizens) must obtain permanent residency in a foreign country before the applicant's birth, and the applicant must have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026 (actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).
Note: If the applicant is recognized as having Chinese nationality by the exit and entry administration department of the Chinese public security organ after application, admission and admission, the application qualification, admission qualification, admission qualification or student status will be cancelled.
2. Comprehensive requirements:
2.1 Under the age of 25, have graduated from high school (those who have not graduated at the time of application must provide a pre-graduation certificate, and must obtain a high school graduation certificate before enrollment at the latest).
2.2 Physical and mental health (no infectious diseases and physical or mental diseases affecting normal learning), excellent character and learning, friendly to China, and no illegal or criminal records.
3. Language proficiency requirements:
3.1 For Chinese-taught majors, applicants must provide a report of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK). Applicants who are taught in Chinese for compulsory courses in secondary education (junior high school and high school) must provide proof of teaching Chinese in junior high school and high school, and are exempt from submitting HSK score reports.
3.2 For English-taught majors, applicants must provide proof of TOEFL or IELTS scores or other proficiency scores (not required for native English speakers).
4. Undergraduate Admission Academic Proficiency Test (CSCA) score requirements for studying in China:
As required by the higher authorities, all international students applying for undergraduate majors are required to provide valid CSCA transcripts from the 2026/2027 academic year. The CSC will organize the first test on December 21, 2025, and open registration in November, and the specific time and arrangement will be announced through the official website (www.csca.cn). From 2026, testing services will be provided on a regular basis, five times a year, in January, March, April, June and December.

5. Application materials
Applicants must log in to the application system, fill in the application information clearly as required, and upload the following materials completely:
1. Personal information page of ordinary passport. Passports must be valid until March 1, 2027 or later, please replace them in advance if they do not meet the time limit. Passport information cannot be changed before enrollment.
2. High school diploma. Fresh graduates submit the expected graduation certificate issued by their school.
3. Transcripts of all courses in high school. Fresh graduates submit transcripts up to this stage. It is recommended to provide the applicant's relative rank or percentage in high school.
4. Standardized test scores such as SAT/IB/GCE A-LEVEL/ACT/STPM/UEC or university entrance examination scores (if any) in the applicant's home country.
5. Language proficiency test scores. HSK score report, or proof of teaching Chinese in junior high school and high school, or proof of TOEFL, IELTS, or other English proficiency.
6. Undergraduate Admission Academic Proficiency Test (CSCA) transcript for studying in China.
7. Personal statement. About 800 words, the content must include personal learning experience, reasons for application and personal advantages.
8. Two letters of recommendation. Written by a high school teacher, it must be signed by the referee and accompanied by a contact number and email.
9. Award certificate of high school subject competition (if any).
10. Applicants who were originally Chinese citizens who became foreign nationals after immigration should provide (1) a certificate of renunciation of Chinese nationality; (2) Certificate of cancellation of Chinese household registration; (3) Proof of foreign nationality; (4) Entry and exit records from April 30, 2022 to April 30, 2026; (5) Nationality Statement and Nationality Confirmation and Guarantee (download).
11. Applicants who acquired foreign nationality at birth in a foreign country, and both or one of their parents were Chinese citizens at the time of birth, provide (1) certificate of foreign nationality at birth; (2) Proof of permanent residence of the applicant's parents (Chinese citizens) in a foreign country before birth; (3) Entry and exit records between April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2026; (4) Nationality Statement and Nationality Confirmation and Guarantee (download).
12. Applicants under the age of 18 by September 1, 2026 are required to submit a guardian's guarantee (download), and the guardian must be an adult living in Chinese mainland.
13. "Zhejiang University International Student Application Commitment" (download), the PDF version of the commitment letter must be clearly and completely filled in and signed by the person himself.
Notes:
1. The above application materials must be in Chinese or English, and notarized copies of translations must be provided at the same time for texts in other languages.
2. Please ensure that all required materials have been uploaded as required, and once the submission is confirmed, supplementary materials will not be accepted in principle. The school reserves the right to require applicants to submit relevant supporting materials.
3. All application materials are reviewed and processed through the application system. Please do not mail paper application materials or send related materials by email. Application materials submitted in paper form or sent by email will not be reviewed.
6. Admission and notification
1. The school will conduct a preliminary review of the applicant's materials, and those who pass the preliminary review will enter the video interview and assessment session of professional departments. The school will comprehensively evaluate and select the best based on factors such as students' high school grades, language proficiency, and video interviews, and determine the list of pre-admitted students in batches.
2. Pre-admitted students log in to the application system to pay the tuition fee for the first academic year in advance within the specified time of the school. Students who fail to pay the tuition fee in advance within the specified time will be disqualified from pre-admission. Students who complete the payment will be officially admitted.
3. It is expected that at the end of June 2026, officially admitted students can download the electronic version of the "Admission Notice" in the application system. The download link of the "Confirmation Form for Foreign Students in China" will be sent to the permanent email address reserved by the student, please download it from the designated website. The school no longer provides paper versions of the "Admission Notice" and "Confirmation Form for Foreign Students in China".
4. The school publishes relevant information such as admissions and interviews through the website of the College of International Education, the website of professional departments, the application system, email, etc., and applicants are requested to log in to the website, application system, email and other inquiries in time. All consequences caused by the applicant's personal negligence and other reasons shall be borne by the applicant himself.
Special Reminder:
1. The school only reserves a study place for students who have paid the tuition fee for the first academic year in advance, and if the student gives up coming to our school for enrollment due to personal reasons, the tuition fee for the first academic year will not be refunded.
2. If a student who has been admitted is disqualified by the school because he fails to meet the school's registration requirements at the time of enrollment, the tuition fee for the first academic year paid in advance will not be refunded.
3. If the higher authorities introduce new policies, the school will make corresponding adjustments.
7. Registration and registration
1. The online pre-registration time is expected to be the end of August 2026, and the on-site registration time is expected to be the beginning of September 2026.
2. The original graduation certificate and language proficiency certificate will be verified when registering on site. Failure to provide the original certificate or the supporting materials provided is inconsistent with the actual situation will result in disqualification.
3. Our school does not allow students to have two or more student statuses in Chinese universities at the same time.
8. Scholarships

Only for Chinese language majors. Applicants can apply through the international student dispatch department of each country. When filling out the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form", please fill in "Zhejiang University" as your first choice in the "Applying Institution" column.
2. Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students in China
Only for Chinese language majors. To apply, please fill out the "Zhejiang Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form for International Students in China" and upload it to the application system together with other application materials.
3. Scholarship for the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Dual Degree Program (taught in English) of the United College of Edinburgh, Zhejiang University

5. Zhejiang University International Business School Global Communication and Management Program (English-taught) Scholarship

9. Medical insurance
Fee: RMB 800/year.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, international students who come to study at our school must purchase comprehensive medical insurance in Chinese mainland as a necessary condition for their registration for the new semester. Students who do not purchase comprehensive medical insurance that meets the requirements at the time of registration will not be enrolled.
